Aromatic Scent: A strong top note.  Fresh, Herbaceous, Spicy, and Sweet.

Basil essential oil can be hazardous, dilution levels found in our General Safety Guidelines do not apply.  Please follow the recommendations here and in the “Safety and Warnings” section below.

This oil is not safe for children.

Add a maximum of 3 drops (0.15 mL) to 5 mL of carrier oil (or 3.3%) for topical applications.

Basil Linalool supports the 3rd, 4th, and 7th chakras.

 

Tisserand & Young have shown that some Basil essential oils may be carcinogenic due to Estragole and Methyleugenol content.  Basil Linalool has a low risk of skin sensitization. [1]

Avoid old or oxidized Basil Linalool oil.  Store in refrigerator to extend shelf life.

We do not recommend topical use in concentrations above 3.3%

This oil is not safe for children.

Avoid when pregnant or breastfeeding.
