This oil is not safe for children.

Add a maximum of 2 drops (0.10 mL) to 15 mL of carrier oil (or 0.6%) for topical applications.

Cinnamon Leaf supports the 1st and 4th chakras.

 

Tisserand & Young have shown that Cinnamon Leaf essential oil may inhibit blood clotting and interact with some drugs.  Cinnamon Leaf is contraindicated orally with pethidine, MAOIs, SSRIs, anticoagulant medication, major surgery, peptic ulcer, hemophilia, and other bleeding disorders.  This oil has a low risk of mucous membrane irritation and a moderate risk of sensitization. [1]  

Below are some of the known drug interactions for Cinnamon Leaf.  Check with your healthcare provider before using Cinnamon Leaf essential oil if you are currently taking prescription medication.

Minor interaction:

  • Medications that slow blood clotting (Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet drugs) such as aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), diclofenac (Voltaren, Cataflam, others), ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others), naproxen (Anaprox, Naprosyn, others), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, warfarin (Coumadin), and others.

This oil has GRAS status. (Generally regarded as safe)

We do not recommend topical use in concentrations above 0.6%

This oil is not safe for children.

Avoid when pregnant or breastfeeding.
